Recently, Wang Chuanzhu, Founder, Chairman & CEO of Techking, led a delegation to Boonray and, together with the Chairman of Boonray, signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, building on their existing partnership, the two companies will fully leverage their respective strengths in mining tire application solutions and autonomous driving in mining, deepening cooperation in joint development of application-specific products, global service network synergy, and exploration of intelligent technologies.
As one of China's leading enterprises in autonomous mining and electric mining trucks, Boonray focuses on the R&D and commercial application of battery-electric autonomous mining trucks, having built a technology system covering autonomous driving, intelligent battery swapping, and cloud dispatch. Its "autonomous driving + unmanned battery swapping" solution has been deployed at multiple large mines across China. Since 2024, Techking has been supplying Boonray's projects with tires purpose-built for electric autonomous mining trucks, along with the Techking Tire Intelligent Control System (TIKS), providing continuous support for related autonomous mining programs through product testing, data tracking, and professional services.
Unlike conventional mining trucks, autonomous mining trucks operate under sustained heavy loads, frequent start-stop cycles, and continuous duty, placing higher demands on tire load-carrying capacity, heat dissipation, wear resistance, and reliability. In response to these characteristics, Techking teams have remained closely engaged on site, conducting testing and analysis based on vehicle operation, road conditions, and tire performance, and continuously refining product solutions to suit actual operating conditions.
As the cooperation deepens, Techking has gradually become a deep partner of Boonray in application-specific tires for electric autonomous mining trucks, the tire intelligent management system, and operational support. At mining sites, Techking service engineers continue to deliver in-depth professional services, supporting the stable operation of Boonray's projects. The products and services have been continuously validated in actual operating applications, laying a solid foundation for further joint R&D between the two companies.
Under the agreement, the two parties will establish a joint R&D team to advance the development of application-specific tires for autonomous driving and smart tires, tailored to the vehicle characteristics and operating scenarios of battery-electric autonomous mining trucks. Techking will also leverage its domestic and international service networks to provide localized service support for Boonray's projects, and work together to apply proven practices across more projects at home and abroad.
Looking ahead, the two parties will also explore a technology research platform for smart tire management and Al+ Cloud-based Vehicle-Tyre-Road Integrated Platform. By fusing vehicle parameters, tire data, and road applications, and leveraging large models and co-simulation technologies, Techking will become involved in vehicle design at an earlier stage, completing product definition and precise matching at the front end of development to further enhance R&D efficiency.
Through this strategic cooperation, Techking will further refine its technology portfolio for mining electrification, intelligent technologies, and autonomous operations. At the same time, the two companies' strengths in vehicles, tires, applications, and services will be further integrated, opening new avenues for the commercialization of autonomous mining trucks and injecting new technological impetus into the development of safer, more efficient, and greener mining transportation.
